I have some balancing boards that I designed for my series IIIc that I can
sell you.  Id have to make more, not sure what the lead time would be.  I
designed a balancing board that has four channels of balance to unbalance
using vintage neve line input transformers, but could also be redesigned to
use any other line input transformer.  It also has four channels of balance
to unbalance using burr brown INA134¹s, and eight channels of unbalanced to
balanced using burr brown DRV134.  This would cover the line inputs, the
insert sends/returns, and the direct/group outputs.

But thing that I came across when I was designing the modifications for my
series III is that the patch jacks themselves were unbalanced with no
contact at tip.  Not sure the configuration of the series 1, but it may need
more than just the balancing pcbs.  I had to replace the patch bay and all
the wiring in the console.  But that had its benefits as the power looming
is miles from where it was, and the patch bay was increased from 28 wide to
32 and now includes mic lines on the patchbay.

Hello,
 
I know this subject has come up before but I need a refresher. I have a
Series 1 that uses card edge connecters and need to address the direct outs
and line ins as well as the master outs. What are my options to convert
these to balanced?
