In my field of expertise why, I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to folks
such as Lloyd Loar, Stuart Mossman, Les Paul, Leo Fender, as well as to
contemporaries such as Jol Dantizig, Mike Dresdner, and more.

I take great delight in seeing someone such as Ike more than ready to give
credit.

But Ike, your name has been referred to me (behind your back) as being an
incredible resource as regards things Neotek. The folks that have mentioned you
are highly esteemed folks audio folks...and Neotel expert users.

I applaud your humble attitude,sir.

Uh, could we tone this down a bit? While I appreciate the positive feedback,
I'm beginning to feel that my reputation exceeds me. I'm just a guy on
the list who has worked on Neoteks for a while. There are many list members who
came before me to whom I owe a great debt. To name just a few: List owner Jim
at Analog Brothers, Monte McGuire, Brian A. Roth, Rick Chinn, Greg Norman, and
likely some others who I'm forgetting and wish I wasn't (some days my
own name is on that list, too :-( ).
I too love the Neotek sound, simplicity of layout and the fact that they are
repairable. I also feel that I owe the current version of my career to the Elite
358 that was Doug McClement's for 20 years and is now happily working for
Brent Punshon in Australia. It was the re-build of that console in 2002 that got
me back into tech work full time, after ten years of managing a sound company
and supervising live sound for television.
This is a great group of people and I'm proud to belong to it.
Best regards,
Ike
