Hi Andy
Any 'real' multitrack is big!
The Studer would probably be a better bet. The manuals are available and
hopefully parts are not so difficult to come by.
At least you should not have a problem with mains frequency!
Difficult choices!

Hi Matt
Thanks for all your help and advice. I have managed to shift the Stephens
to a chap in the Ststes. In fact I have just packed it. It wasn't really
for me that one perhaps something a bit easier to maintain will come
along. Right now I am staring at a Studer A80 MKIV that belongs to the
people that owned the Stephens. It's immaculate with less than 2500 head
hours. Problem is that it's a giant and my studio is smallish.
Pipe dreams!!
Thanks again
Andy
The thing is immaculate > Hi Andy
No, the guy I know of is Chris Notton.
I have his mobile number but I am not sure of 'etiquette' here so please
email me direct and I will give it to you.
The number I have is from over 2 years ago, I can only presume he is
still around.

Hi Matt
Is the chap in Bedford called Mr Thear? I found his name on a bit of
paper
and I think he's the guy who serviced and checked the machine when it
arrived 10 years ago.
Andy
