Yes, he is asking too much. I just purchased 4 series 1e modules for
$700. He's asking $650 for 1 module. Next week I will be selling 4
series 1 mods (3band) for $125 a piece. Once I install the new
series 1e (4 band) in my board. I can't judge anyone for wanting to
make money. But he's definatley not going to make it from me. Btw I
know a guy in California that just sold a series1(3 band) 24x8 with
p&g faders fully functional for $4000
Hi,
What would lead somebody to conclude a 12 channel split
series one to think could be worth such a huge amount of money?
I love these consoles, and think they sound amazing, but even
in the best of times, $6,000 would be pretty crazy ...
==========================
I seems that a consensus of my fellow Neotek listmembers feels that I
doth ask too much.
I was basing the price on the condition, performance, completeness and
hassle free installation of this board, and the cost of individual parts.
Originally this board cost CBS $28,000.
I would certainly be willing to consider a fair offer once that
person has actually
examined - and listened to, this board. It sounds more like a Neve
than a Mackie,
and the final product will be fully master quality.
So - if someone is seriously interested, call or email me and come
over check it out.
It will also include some fifteen or so Mogami patch cables.
I also have a Hallikainen TVA 6 input mixer, 8 channel Dolby A rack
and spares,
Scully 280 1" 8Track with relapped heads, almost no use since JRF relapping,
a pair of JBL L-112 monitor speakers with factory reconed woofers,
CItation II (updated
and modded -sounds beautiful) power amplifier, and a rack of
peripherals including
reverbs and eqs. Also an Otari MTR-12 working like new and a good supply of
new BASF 468 12" reels.
