Hello everyone!Long story short, I bought some already racked strips. They are wired for a 4-pin external power supply. I called up Mike Stoica and he made me a power supply to put in the rack enclosure with the strips. Very cool. Now I have it but I need to figure out how to wire it, source a power jack + install it, and figure out how to use the mute/buss/2mix switches for on/off and phantom engage.
1. As far as wiring the 48v, 0v, +18v, -18v, I know the wiring scheme of the rack and Mike's PSU is clearly labeled. How do I connect it? Is it as simple as a solder to each where Mike tied the knots (see attached pics)? 2. Sourcing a power jack: I would like a switchable 110<>220, fuse inline, IEC modular jack. Any suggestions? 3. Have any of you that traveled this path ahead of me used the mute/buss/2mix switches for on/off and phantom engage I am new to electrical engineering, but will learn as I go so please go easy on me. I figure the best way to learn is dive in and swim.
