Hello!:)

Two years ago I wrote a manual how to configure and use Nepomuk in KDE 4.7 as

an end user. By this is, it was the only manual for users I could find on the

internet.

This week I thought it was time for an update, so I wrote down all the changes

I could find between the versions 4.11 and 4.7.

But there were some usability details that were difficult to explain in words,

mostly I assume because they have technical reasons but make it more difficult

for the user which is unaware of the background.

Just an example:

The different search results of the same keyword, depending on if the search

dialog was called while being in an indexed or in a non-indexed folder in

Dolphin (even it the search is system-wide). Don't get me wrong, it worked

absolutely fine, I just wondered about the usability.

or: writing "tags:/" into the Dolphin address bar is the only way to list all

available tags?

These are conclusions I made from observing the behaviour.

My question now:

Could somebody who knows how the integration in KDE works take a quick look

over the manual, and confirm that the integration of Nepomuk in KDE is really

intended this way?

Thank you very much for you work! I'm using Nepomuk since 3 years and it

really helps me a lot. This is my effort to make more people use it.

Have a nice day!

Martin
