Greetings all.

In running Nessus from a command line, I am getting the following error:

[root@localhost validaccount]# nessus -q localhost 1241 validaccount
validpassword /home/validaccount/targetlist /home/validaccount/results
Could not create this file !
open : No such file or directory
[root@localhost validaccount]#

I have touched the output file prior to the scan, and get the same error.

I do not have much experience with the command line interface of Nessus, and
I apologize if these have been asked before, but here goes.

1) is there a way to execute a command line nessus session that will perform
a diff scan?
2) Is the sytntax of my example correct (i.e. am I leaving any necessary
switches out?)
3) I have tried specifing a detached scan in the gui client, but how does
that transfer over to the

Any additional help you might be able to provide would be helpful.

Host specific information:
RH 7.2
Nessus 1.1.8

I am all for "RTFM", but I have not found a resource that has sufficiently
answered these questions such that it did not ask a thousand more. If the
info is available, a pointer to that information would be appreciated.

Bob
