Might be easier for a 'wrapper' function to create the .nessusrc files. sheesh, I shure would hate to 'wal' thorugh 817 plugins ad cli. I think that building in smb_nt* functions into nessusd are more important than making the cli as functional as the gui. (right now, each smb_nt* plugin has to create/login/drop the netbios connection to the windows box to dig through registry. some timing glitches and performance optimizations could be imporoved if just ONE connection were made. last I checked, there were some 100+ smb_nt type plugins. thats 100 connect/login/drop's per nt_ target' Ok, so nt and win2k are not our favoriate computers, but in a typical corporate installation, IF LUCKY, they're might be 10 Solaris/Linux/*nix boxes to 600 or more windows workstations. Even if you don't have 'x' on your box (to build your .nessusrc) you can dl and run Xvnc (and build the .nessusrc from a windows box) > [X] Windows > [X] Blah > nessus> cd Blah > nessus/Blah> ls > [X] Foo > [X] Bar > nessus> deselect Bar > nessus> ls > [X] Foo > [X] Bar woops, bar didn't get deselected ;-) > -- Renaud > -- Michael Scheidell Secnap Network Security, LLC (561) 368-9561 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sign up Live WEBCAST Q & A : Should I migrate from IIS? http://www.secnap.net/
