FTP ~{ vuln

I just looked at the plugin number 10821.
In particular it tries to match FTP banners against vulnerable versions.
Here is the regex for Solaris FTPd
".*SunOS [0-5]\.[0-8].*"
I have been looking around and the only reference I have found mentioned 
version of Solaris FTPd where banner would look like "SunOS 5.6". Nothing
about other versions. Can someone point me in the correct direction to 
find more about this vuln?
