I am considering upgrading to 1.1.x because there are many new features
(not to mention plugins) that I want.

I know the official word on 1.1.x is that it is recommended, but not to be
considered bug-free. I don't expect to delegate the decision of using
"experimental" software with this question, but Nessus is so well done that
I have confidence with it that I wouldn't have with other projects. What
is the metric for establishing that 1.0.x is stable? Is it simply time?
