My estimate is that a reasonable scan takes about 8 to 12 hours if the
tested host does not send ICMP packets to indicate a closed port.
This is mostly a nmap UDP issue.
But with a 256MB machine you should be able to test about 16 host in
parallel without a problem. (Well in fact you may if you run it directly
through a switch and the traffic is too much for your machine to handle.)
