I have 1.0.10 and that's the version that has this problem. I've just run a nessus-update-plugins and, for example, smb_nt_ms01-025.nasl still has no check for SP2SRP1...
Is there a script_dont_require_keys() function? Something that stops the script from running if a kb key is set - that way we could have a plugin for SP2 and have it set a key that's checked by all superceded plugin checks - same for SP2SRP1 and for a future SP3. -----Original Message----- From: Michael Scheidell [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 22 March 2002 13:27 To: Hemsley, Trevor Cc: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: Re: False positives with MS hotfix detection > supercedes things like the IrDa hotfix Q252795 and the Index server fix > Q296185 but when SP2SRP1 is on on its own then the hotfix keys don't exist > for the individual fixes. I would guess that the same thing will apply when > (if) SP3 is released. New scripts in the CVS version already do that. I think starting with 1.0.10. -- Michael Scheidell SECNAP Network Security, LLC (561) 368-9561 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.secnap.net/
