I just built the new version from fink.

It worked with the previous version (1.0.9, IIRC), not with 1.2.1

I removed anything about nessus. Removed ~/.nessus-keys and ~/.nessusrc.
Removed the binaries. Rebuild nessus from scratch.

$ sudo nessus-adduser
Password:
[carefully entered and double checked password]
$ sudo nessusd -D
$ nessus

And, via the GUI (XDarwin), I can't connect.

The log file is not really helpful :

$ sudo tail -f /sw/var/nessus/logs/nessusd.messages
[Tue Jun 11 16:25:48 2002][16012] nessusd 1.2.1 is starting up
[Tue Jun 11 16:25:48 2002][16014] nessusd 1.2.1 is starting up
[Tue Jun 11 16:26:06 2002][16037] nessusd 1.2.1 is starting up
[Tue Jun 11 16:26:20 2002][16037] nessusd 1.2.1 started
[Tue Jun 11 16:26:26 2002][16037] connection from 127.0.0.1
[Tue Jun 11 16:26:26 2002][16039] Client requested protocol version 12.
[Tue Jun 11 16:26:26 2002][16039] bad login attempt from 127.0.0.1

nessusd is running, as says the log file, and listening to the port 1241,
as confirms netstat

A last test via CLI :

$ nessus --output-type=html --config-file=.nessusrc --batch-mode \
localhost 1241 xavier ***** nessus-targets nessus-results.html

Gives me a laconic "nessus : Login failed"

Last hint :

$ sudo nessusd -d
Password:

Does someone experience the same problem ?

Any hint ?

Thanks,
