Are there any known performance issues with OpenBSD? Any reported problems, bugs, or conflicts that show up when running Nessus 1.2.3 on it? I've been having some severe performance issues during recent tests, all of which started after changing our server from Linux to OpenBSD. I recently conducted a scan of 6 hosts simultaneously, and after 36 hours, 26 nessus daemons (at its peak), and a load average of >48, I was left with 5 nessus daemons that were still running and pegging my processor, but didn't seem to actually be doing anything (according to tcpdump). After manually killing them, nessus did actually finish the batch job and generate the report, but this obviously isn't something that we can put into production to scan hundreds of hosts. Is there any chance this is something that can be resolved (or at least is known), or would I have to revert to Linux or FreeBSD to fix the problem? Thanks.
