I am a french student in an engeenering school, doing my intership about IDS, more specificaly about testing the efficiency of an IDS. I read last week that the site "security focus" was bought by Symantec, and nothing was really sure about the future availability of the information, and people was thinking about creating a new mailing list to replace the ones with this site, and Renaud Deraison explained that it would in that case be hard to stay all together if mailing lists were split. Security focus vulnerability database was really the best one ? Are there other web sites ( or elsewhere ) where I could find a list of known attacks , or vulnerability database ?
