Where did you get "Linux 8.0" :-?  I would like a copy of it!

I know this is NOT answering your question, but I have to ask...
1.0.10 is rather old, why not just upgrade to 1.2.3 and with that comes a nice new 
util, called nessus-update-plugins which does what you are wanting to do rather 
effortlessly.
