Interesting note on how I got it to work. I tried the emulation on the configure script, and this time it gave me a better error. It said it looked like nessus-lib (IIRC) was compiled without bison or flex. Well, that was true. I'd started the first install without them because I didn't realize it was necessary, then installed them later, but the install still wasn't working. So I ran the nessus-install.sh script again. Since it uninstalled the old version, it compiled fine, and now Nessus is installed. One thing I'd like to note is that the way the web page is worded, it looks like SuSE is the only that needs to make sure Bison and Flex are installed. I would wager that most Linux distros need to have an eye on that, since they weren't installed by default on my Red Hat installation. Making that statement a bit more generic might help other Nessus newbies a little less confused. :) SeanMike -- Runornir's ramblings are on http://www.daocpowergamers.com/ - Rants, discussions, forums and the such about Dark Age of Camelot "Giving Bradshaw a forum and a microphone is like giving Visine to a peeping Tom" - Mike Webster - [EMAIL PROTECTED]: general discussions about Nessus. * To unsubscribe, send a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe nessus" in the body.
