Basically MS-ISA == MS-Proxy 2.0 (polished a bit)so it delivers:
- HTTP proxy
- WinSOCKS proxy
- static packet filter
- all on vanilla Windows OS with IIS installed (IIRC)
If you're looking for a decent firewall, you're looking for
content-sensitive application proxies (transparent and/or
nontransparent) for a number of protocols (usually: http, ftp, smtp,
pop, nntp, cifs, dns, ping, ...) and stateful packet filters on a
minimized, hardened OS.
Comparison between delivery and order should yield the results sought-for...
