But also note that H D's patch will prevent the plugins from attempting
to connect to a port which was not scanned -ie, if you don't scan ports
1-65535, you may miss blatant vulnerabilities. Also note that enabling
the option "consider unscanned ports as closed" will give you the same
result (roughly).

As for the rest of the speed issue, the current NASL interpretor is
really slow. Michel Arboi is working on a new one which will be way
faster and will make "complex" plugins such as webmirror much faster.

Hopefully, the new NASL (aka NASL2) will be commited to the HEAD branch 
of CVS in early 2003, if Michel can find the energy to finish it.
