not all the plugins that describe situations that cause DoS or hanging of a machine actually are able to do it, at least on any particular machine. I would suggest researching the particular vulnerabilities that you are interested in in the vulnerability repositories online. Often, a particular vendor will "fix" the problem by working around the problem in some fashion. Also, a DoS might not able to be reproduced by a single machine running nessus, but instead may require you to actually have several machines to duplicate the problem.

In essence, I would suggest just researching the problem more first. packetstorm or any of the vulnerability sites should be able to help.
