This is interesting. My script checks installed plugins that have their
script_category value set to either 'act_destructive_attack' or
'act_denial'. Of course, after reading the information below, I'm now
concerned about the 'act_attack' catagory and I'm wondering if I should
add it to my checks. I don't believe any .nasl scripts currently use
this category and therefore, I'm hoping you (or someone) can elaborate
on it's role in the grand scheme of things. More specifically, I'm
wondering:

1. If a script is catagorized as act_attack, is it considered to be
intrusive? (e.g. act_destructive_attack)

2. Are there any plugins that currently use this category?

Best,
Adam

" Plugins are classified into one of several categories, described in
" doc/WARNING.En, under the nessus-core source tree. At least with Nessus
" 1.2.7, these categories are: ACT_ATTACK, ACT_DENIAL,
" ACT_DESTRUCTIVE_ATTACK, ACT_INFOS, ACT_MIXED, ACT_SCANNER, ACT_SETTINGS,
" and ACT_UNKNOWN.
"
" In the Nessus client configuration file, those plugins classed as
" ACT_SCANNER, which refer to some type of port scanner or ping, would be
" listed in the SCANNER_SET block; the others would be in PLUGIN_SET.

" Yes, I have. See <http://www.tifaware.com/perl/update-nessusrc/>. It's
" free and should work on any unix-like system with Perl 5 and Nessus
" 1.1.14 or better.
