I tried the commands "ipkg update; ipke install mktemp" but it did not
understand the "ipke".  I will try to download/install the mktemp package.

You need to install the mktemp package - if you have uncommented the
familiar-unstable feed in your /etc/ipkg.conf file you can install it with a
simple "ipkg update; ipke install mktemp".
