Yes, of course. Fixing the actual types is usually a better recourse.

I'll break patches into "functional groups" that try to fix all of one
kind of issue at a time. Those with more experience with your actual
port base can then decide whether they're worthy of application or not.

My intention is to *fix* the problems, not complain about them. I've been
cleaning up C code for 20 years.
