Jeff,
In order to determine the SP version, Nessus needs the following:
* all dependencies (and sub-dependencies) run
* registry access via remote login to the machine
* network connectivity to the remote machine :-)
Also, note that the plug-in will only fire if the service pack is less
than 4. If the machine has SP4, then an alert will not be generated (but
the KB key "SMB/Win2k/ServicePack" will be saved).
