Hi list:
I had to remove a user from nessus so I used "nessus-rmuser". In doing so I seem to have deleted the user database, though I am not sure how, here is message I get when I try to add a user:
root@"hostname":/usr/local/sbin# nessus-adduser You must define the user data base entry "nessusd_users = ..." in the configuration file "/usr/local/etc/nessus/nessusd.conf"!
I edited the conf file and added a line like this:
nessusd_users = /usr/local/var/nessus/users
then I tried this:
nessusd_users = /usr/local/etc/nessusd.users
Still got the same error message, even after restarting nessusd. I just upgraded to 2.08 Monday and am running slackware 9.0. Anyone have any ideas? I looked in the nessus-adduser script and didn't see anything, nothing in the rmuser looking odd either....
TIA Jeff
