Bison/flex errors is not your problem, this is:
===
In file included from nasl_packet_forgery.c:42:
strutils.h:35: error: conflicting types for `strndup'
/usr/include/string.h:63: error: previous declaration of `strndup'
===

Which is caused by this failure in the configure script:

===
configure: In function `main':
configure:8261: warning: assignment makes pointer from integer without a
cast
configure:8262: error: `NULL' undeclared (first use in this function)
configure:8262: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
configure:8262: error: for each function it appears in.)
configure: failed program was:
#line 8252 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"

int main()
{
  char * a = "foobar";
  char * b;

  b = strndup(a, strlen(a));
  if( b == NULL ) return 1;
  if( b == a ) return 1;
  return strcmp(a, b);
}
===

which can be manually fixed by adding this into your
libnasl/include/config.h file (after you run configure):
        #define HAVE_STRNDUP_ALREADY 1

And, after trying several months ago (prior to the release of NeWT) to
get Cygwin working, I discovered the same thing. Attempting to use
either the client and server would cause the CPU to spike to 100%. I
haven't had a chance to run a profiler/gdb to find out why.

If I ever find some free time, I'll try to work on getting the client to
run in Cygwin/Windows but the sever is going to be a near impossibility.
Because of that, I'd keep Ron and Renaud happy by purchasing NeWT so
that they can continue working on Nessus... ;-)
