Hi Ron,

I don't recall any mainframe specific plugins but if you're in the unfortunate position of running Domino or websphere than those should apply, and I imagine any generic-type checks for services/apps "should" work (ftp, DB2 probably not - but I'm guessing here)

If you do a full port scan (not that I recommend it) you'll probably see some odd-ball ports (e.g. in the 10,000 + range) you've never seen before....

Also, there is a plugin that IDs the MS SNA server if you decide to scan your gateway servers - though that check is just informational.

Subject: Does Nessus Perform Checks against Mainframe

Just a quick question.. Not sure it has any plugins to check against any mainframe systems..

Thanks,

Ron
