As far as I know, RedHat backports fixes into "their" version of
OpenSSH/Apache/whatever, but do not modify the banner of the server from
the point of view of the network, and they are still "thinking about
it".
If you paid for RedHat ES/AS upgrades and are tired of getting false
positives from Nessus when scanning your systems, I recommend you email
Mark J Cox <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> and tell them that you want RedHat to
include a tag in the banners of "fixed" programs, just like FreeBSD
and many other distributions are doing.
