Nessus pluginID 11835 is identifying Windows XP with SP2 RC1 as vulnerable.
SP2 RC1 includes the updates for this vulnerability (RPC DLLs dated March
2004).

For comparison:
The eEye "Retina RPC DCOM Scanner" reports "Status undetermined" for XP SP2.

The MS scanner tool for KB824146
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;827363)
reports "Needs investigation", which according to the KB article means
"there was some problem scanning the remote host. To determine whether the
target computers have been patched, you must manually inspect them." ("some
problem" - that narrows it down!)

It looks like the plugin is exiting while doing the check for Win98/ME:

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

Thanks,
Craig
