Thanks in advance for any tips, --Nick _______________________________________________ Nessus mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.nessus.org/mailman/listinfo/nessus
I compiled and successfully installed Nessus with the
--enable-unix-socket=/usr/local/var/nessus/nessusd.socket flag and that
works fine in-so-far-as I run the Nessus client as root. Any attempt to
run the client as a standard user and I get a permission denied on
nessusd.socket. I understand the reason that the daemon must run as
root but is there a way, with unix domain sockets, to run the client as
a normal user?
