George, Thanks for the response. I neglected to Email the list and say that I was able to get Nessus working this morning! The problem was a missing gtk2-devel and a dependent pango package, which once I installed them, I was able to install with the GUI. Sometimes all the available packages can be overwhelming...
I was about 1 step away from reverting back to Red Hat 9 distribution, luckily I got it working because I think Suse is a substantially better product. Nessus is such an invaluable tool for me, I had to get it working one way or another. Thank you all for your time and help in getting this working. I'd especially like to thank Lanny from the list, who took the time to do some much needed research for me.
