All, Is there a way to scan, with dependencies enabled, that will not report on these dependencies? I am only concerned about the dependencies insomuch as they allow the specific plugin to be executed, I am not concerned with their results.
For example: If I were to scan for MS04-038, without either manually or auto-enabling of dependencies, the plugin would not execute. If I were to scan for MS04-038, and manually or auto-enable dependencies, I would get many items back, such as "The following NetBios names have been gathered" and "An SMB server is running on this port". My plan is to implement a multitude of nessus scans, cron'd to run at specific times, and drop the results files to be read into Crystal Reports server. But, unfortunately, when I perform a scan which might have only 5 positives (out of 3000 workstations), I get 1000+ 'additional' incidents, which are not what I directly scanned for. _______________________________________________ Nessus mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.nessus.org/mailman/listinfo/nessus
