We are having the same problem on our auditing boxes under the Fedora Core 3 and Redhat 9 series. Nikto and the CGI Abuses associated with it are hanging and not allowing scans to finish. We have disabled them because of this fact and have to run nikto manually to comlete our audits. We did not have this problem until 2.2.2a. So its not

with kernel 2.6.8-2 and Nessus 2.2.2a. The nikto.pl is coming from the
standard Debian package and is version 1.33. When nessusd.messages is coming
to Nikto it says:
nikto.nasl is slow to finish - killing it
and that's wehre it hangs. I'd like to run the nikto.nasl plugin so what is
