Sorry, it wasn't clear to me from your first message what you had and had not actually configured, and the error you're getting now -- "407 Proxy Authentication Required" -- suggests the issue is an authentication one. Can you run the following and tell me what it outputs? nessusd -s | grep config_file Also, can you provide the contents of /usr/local/etc/nessus/nessus-fetch.rc? I'm only interested in the format of the file so replace actual values with "xxxxxxxx".
