Hmm, http://nessuswx.nessus.org/archive/ shows 1.4.5b from 22-Mar-2005
and then 1.4.5c from 18-May-2005. Are you sure about that date?

I can tell you that nothing interesting appeared in the Protocol Tracer window and debugging was indeed enabled.  And that the date came straight from the error that was produced.  However, I have since remedied the problem by copying the /usr/local/lib/nessus/plugins/ folder to /usr/local/var/nessus/users/adam/plugins/.  Everything seems to be working fine now.  I appreciate the help.
