Hi there --

I originally did try running the program in the foreground, and that did not
seem to make a difference. However, just to verify I did not miss anything I
reran the program just prior to sending this e-mail. An error message that was
not seen originally now appeared on-screen. The message read as follows:

                File size limit exceeded.

Which file(s) is the above message referencing, and what corrective action
should be taken?

In addition to Mike Sleeper's suggestion to look in nessusd.messages,
you might also want to try omitting the "-D" option when starting
nessusd. That will cause it to run in the foreground and hopefully print
on the screen any errors causing it to die.
