First thing (as obvious as it may sound) is doublecheck that the user you want to log in as has an account. Check in the var/nessus directory under your toplevel directory for you nessus install. By default, this location would be /usr/local/var/nessus

Hi there!
I have installed nessus on Fedora Core 4 . When I invoke nessus
by typing nessus at the prompt, it invokes the client piece.
But when I give the username/password , it says "Login failed" .
I saw similar postings in the forum , but no solid proper answer to fix it .
Anybody who had a similar problem and fixed it, please help.
Thanks.
Kavitha Subramanian.
