If you're unable to compile 2.2.8 for Solaris 8, you can download a 
precompiled 2.2.5 from blastwave.org, another repository like sunfreeware.

Or, use Solaris 9-10 instead of 8 and download precompiled Nessus 3.03 
from nessus.org.
