Because of security reasons, I don’t use Wifi. But I use a DSL-Service from the German Telekom, like millions others do.
 
And I had no problem with it, when I tested Nessus a couple of months ago.
 
I thought the problem could be about Winpcap. But I had no problem with Windump.
 
Does Nessus require some specific WinXP-Services to be running?
 
What is the "HNAdapter" really doing? How does Nessus use it? Where should I start looking for the problem?
 
Also interesting: When I try to scan, Nessus actually finds the correct IP-Address of the target. But immediately afterwards, it stops and prints the report "Tenable Nessus Security Report -> No Vulnerability Found"

Are you scanning over ethernet / wifi as opposed to a VPN / PPTP connection?
