sure, I'll think if the vulnerability is wide-spread this takes into  
account if a check is created. Then it must also be possible to create  
a plugin which works, that is not always true. But if someone wanted  
to test for a leak he/she will create it. I know most plugings are  
accepted for GPL feed adoption, but for instance an XSS in a webapp  
not that much used will not see the main GPL feed.
