I must schedule my scans to run during the evenings. Nessus is installed on a Windows XP Service Pack 2 machine.
I am familiar with using the XP "AT" scheduling command to schedule a batch file to run during the night. When running my batch file under the scheduler it failed. When just running my batch file within a DOS command line window it failed. If I just type in the command at a DOS C:\ prompt like so: C:\Program Files\Tenable\Nessus\NessusCmd.exe 10.0.110.71 It fails. I get messages like: Scan target: 10.0.110.71 Policy: allsafe All safe plugins are selected Initializing... And then it stops and says "Cannot connect to Nessus Server" In my scan.log file, I see a line like: GetBestInterface failed: 0 I would greatly appreciate any tips in getting scans scheduled to run during the evenings.
