I fear you're probably right. I just installed Mozilla 1.7.13, and the detection plugin detected it fine. [I did just patch the plugin, though, as the version was a bit more verbose than it should have been.] I'm not sure what we can do if an installer mucked with the registry settings. Would you be able to send me privately a screen dump showing the registry entries under HKLM\SOFTWARE\mozilla.org as well as HKLM \SOFTWARE\Mozilla on one of the hosts where the plugin fails? Maybe it's possible to use the entries under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mozilla instead.
