I just learned about a site called CyberSmart! It offers a free K-8
curriculum that consists of 65 original standards-based lesson plans
with activity sheets. It is organized into five units: safety, manners,
advertising, research, and technology. The number of lessons per grade
increases as students' reading and critical thinking skills develop.

It is the site of the International Center for

The ImageBase is a searchable image and text database of 110,000+
objects from the collections of the Fine Arts Museums of San
Francisco (the de Young Museum and the Legion of Honor).
The collections (110,000+ objects) belong to the people of the City and
County of San Francicso. The ImageBase is an expression of the Museum's
mission to provide meaningful public access to the collections and behave
more like a resource and less like a repository.
History of the ImageBase
Launched as a website in the fall of 1996, the Thinker ImageBase actually
has its roots in a collection management project that grew out of the 1989
Loma Prieta earthquake and subsequent 1992-1995 renovation of the Legion
of Honor.
The Thinker ImageBase now supports ZoomPix for all works of art! High
resolution images on the ImageBase are served to you by ZOOM technology
developed at the Computer Science division at the University of California
in Berkeley. Their innovative storage system coupled with breakthrough
software lets you see details of the art at high magnification. Coming
soon will be a complete description of how the system works.
ImageBase Basics
Everything in the ImageBase is from the collections of the Fine Arts
Museums of San Francisco (the de Young Museum and the Legion of Honor).
Approximately 12,000 artists are represented in the ImageBase
The ImageBase contains images of 82,000+ objects.
