Gameshow Pro Web(tm) Provides 24/7 Content Review

LearningWare Launches Web-based, Customizable Gameshow Program

Minneapolis, Minn. - September 17, 2002 /Xpress Press/ - LearningWare is
pleased to announce the introduction of an industry-leading training tool
available online 24/7, with the release of Gameshow Pro Web. Capitalizing
on the recent trend, LearningWare's latest content review template is
modeled after the success of current game shows. Not only fun and
interactive, Gameshow Pro Web, encourages competition in an online
environment, allows for results tracking and more importantly, engages the
brain in learning.

Gameshow Pro Web is not bound by ordinary classroom training constraints,
since it is always available and easily accessible to players via the web.
Like its predecessor, Gameshow Pro 3, the program allows trainers to
customize content review games around their own content. Users can also
import media, such as sound and video. Unlike its classroom counterpart,
Gameshow Pro Web is available to students 24/7 via automatic Shockwave
streaming. Since results are tracked automatically for performance
appraisal, it is also the ideal format for web-based contests.

"Our customers seek a new system of delivery for our games; they want to
reach people in remote locations where an instructor cannot always be
present," said Victor Kluck, General Manager of LearningWare, Inc. "Built
on the phenomenal success of today's game shows, new technology allows
Gameshow Pro Web to thrive in a place that was once only a game developer's
dream, the web."

For commercial organizations, Gameshow Pro Web is available for an
investment of $2,995. Educational pricing for K-12 schools and Federal
Government pricing schedules are also available. Gameshow Pro Web licenses
include a module used to create the game and an unlimited number of student
player licenses for one URL. Additional creator modules may be purchased
for $695 each.

LearningWare, founded in 1995, develops and markets computerized game show,
quiz, and survey programs for public and private sector trainers as well as
educators at all levels. Its products are designed to improve retention,
enliven presentations and create a fun, risk-free learning environment.
The company's products are used by more than 4,000 organizations around
the world. For further information, contact LearningWare at 800-457-5661
or for a free Gameshow Pro Web demo http://learningware.com/gspweb/.

Project Title: The VIPER Club - An Internet Reading Project

Project Begin & End Dates: 11/01/02 to 3/31/03

Project Summary:
Our project is an "Internet reading club" that
will promote recreational reading among participants and compare the
reading habits of students around the world.
-------------------

Project Details
-------------------
Project Level: Basic

Curriculum Area: Language, Mathematics, Technology

Technologies Used: Email

Project Sponsor: none

Full Project Description:
Students keep track of their home reading time and submit it to their teacher at the
end of each month. The teacher (and/or the students) add the reading minutes and
divide by the number of students in the class to get an average per-student reading
time.
This is submitted to us, and we keep track of participant reading minutes and post it
on our web page.

If you are interested in participating in our project, please send send
the following information:
1. Name
2. School
3. Grade
4. Address
5. email address
6. school web page (if applicable)

Objectives:
Our project's objectives are to encourage our chidden to read, learn
world geography in a meaningful context and to provide real-time
experiences in data management.

Student centered:

The students will be reading at home and keeping track of the minutes
they read. At the end of each month, they will submit a form with their
parent's signature to certify the number of minutes they read that
month. They will add their minutes to their classes' total and divide by
the total number of students in each class. The teacher (or students)
will submit their average number of reading minutes per child to us.
We hope this will encourage students to read in order to increase their
classes' minute total.

Our students will be in charge of averaging and graphing the data
received from the other schools involved. They will help organize the
information to be put on the "Viper Club Web Page" at the end of each
month.

Two years aga, our middle school students designed and created web pages
for our staff as part of an end-of-the-year project utilizing all of the
skills they learned throughout the year. Now, an Independent Study Class,
made up of 8th through 10th grade students, update our teacher pages
(located @ http://www.east-buc.k12.ia.us/Staff/staff.htm) as well as our
district web site (located @ http://www.east-buc.k12.ia.us/). We also
