Hmmm..... Maybe I've misunderstood what you meant by
"enable the new modules, and exclude the others"
I thought that meant include the ipNetToPhysicalTable, etc,
but not the older ones (such as atTable). Was that wrong?
Bottom line:
If I do:
tar zxf net-snmp-5.1.2.tar.gz
cd net-snmp-5.1.2
./configure
make
make install
snmpd
snmpwalk atTable
will it work?
I'd regard that as something of a deal-breaker.
If so then fine - ship with the re-written code active by default.
(It's the only way we'll get it tested!)
But if not, then I don't think we can legitimately ship it that way.
