Hi, Andy. I respectfully do not agree with your assessment.

The trap handler patch that you provided was applied to 5.1 patches
prior to 5.1.2 release. The bugs noting problems with service registry
were posted near that time, and the reported bugs did infer that solutions
should be applicable to both the agent and the trap handler.

Bugs
[ 972797 ] win32 register service needs improvement
[ 972793 ] win32 un-install should stop/unregister services
[ 948146 ] winservice could use quiet service

Although the installer did not provide menu links to register or
unregister the trap handler, you can install the released 5.1.2 binary
and manually register or un-register the trap handler.

So, it would appear that the changes to 5.1 patches are bugfixes.

If the work to add the menu links to 5.1 patches is considered feature
adding, so be it. I think it would be nice to have in 5.1.3, but
I won't make a pitched battle to have it.

Best Regards,
-Mike Slifcak
