Hallo, first of all, thanks for Net-SNMP. I have been working for over 2 months with the tools and i enjoyed it very much.
My software is almost completely written, but at the end some questions came up. I would like to send in a loop over 20000-Requests. First, in this loop i create a pdu with snmp_pdu_create(SNMP_MSG_SET). Than i add about 10 Variables to this pdu with snmp_pdu_add_variable. After that, i call snmp_synch_response. I a first test, this seems to work. The question now is, do i have to call snmp_sess_init, snmp_open, snmp_free_pdu and snmp_close in my loop, too? Or will snmp_pdu_create(SNMP_MSG_SET) allocate enough memory for the request. Does anybody know, whether this could cause some memory-bugs? If i put this four functioncalls in my loop, my programm is about 70times slower. On the agentside i'm using a programm, which i created with mib2c.
