We've already established that SolarWinds relies on the Host Resources MIB for its monitoring. Presumably you've got this working (since the Disk information is available).
The Net-SNMP agent does not implement the Host Resources CPU load object, so SolarWinds will not be able to monitor your CPUs.
But the memory should be available via the hrMemorySize object, and hrStorageTable. Trying doing an "snmpwalk" on these - what do you see?
With HP-UX 11i the memory size should be available in the host ressources mib. First there is
host.hrStorage.hrMemorySize.0
which should tell how much memory (I think it's RAM in this place) is in the machine. And then there are some informations in the
host.hrStorage.hrStorageTable
table: the real memory (RAM) and the swap space. These two come first in that table (I'm not sure but I think they always have indexes 2 and 3).
Actually there are 3 numbers connected with every entry:
- allocation unit (here: 4 KB) - size - used
And there is some information about cpu usage in net-snmp - it can be found in the ucd-snmp-mib which seem to work with net-snmp if it has been configured in. But I cannot say whether the informations returned there are valid or not - and the other question will be whether SolarWinds can use them.
