That actually gives me a "Page has moved" display, before redirecting
to the Server2003 SP1 Web Install page.
We clearly need to update the README instructions. I'm wondering
whether we should point people towards the Platform SDK FAQ, which
includes links for the Web Install, Full Download, and ISO image
alternatives for the Platform SDK.
As a strawman proposal, I'll put forward the following new
instructions:
----------
Go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
Search for a download using the keywords
"Platform SDK FAQ"
View the FAQ, and scroll down to the end
Select one of:
Windows® Server 2003 SP1 Platform SDK Full Download
Windows® Server 2003 SP1 Platform SDK ISO Install
Windows® Server 2003 SP1 Platform SDK Web Install
from the list of "other downloads"
---------
Do we need to mention exactly which Windows versions this
covers, to forestall questions from people that don't have
Windows Server 2003?
In which case, exactly which Windows versions *does* this
cover?
Dave
