I guess we should really focus on a least getting from 5.1.2p0 up to at least 5.1.3+. 5.1.3 back-ported the "agentaddress" token for snmpd.conf Then we should probably also modify the default snmpd.conf we install to contain: agentaddress udp:127.0.0.1:161 smuxsocket 127.0.0.1 ..by default, Net-SNMP bind()s a number of TCP/UDP sockets to *.*. It's really not conducive to security. ~BAS > Tim > ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Power Architecture Resource Center: Free content, downloads, discussions, and more. http://solutions.newsforge.com/ibmarch.tmpl _______________________________________________ Net-snmp-coders mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/net-snmp-coders
